Endoscopic Curettage of Bone Cyst of the Fibular Head
نویسنده
چکیده
Open resection of cystic or other benign intramedullary lesions of the fibular head and neck requires dissection and mobilization of the common peroneal nerve. The purpose of this Technical Note is to describe a minimally invasive approach of fibular head bone endoscopy for resection of a bone cyst or other benign intramedullary lesions of the fibular head and neck. The common peroneal nerve, biceps femoris tendon, and lateral collateral ligament are preserved.

Simple calcaneal bone cysts: a pilot study comparing open versus endoscopic curettage and grafting.
This pilot study analysed the outcome of open versus endoscopic curettage and bone grafting for the treatment of simple calcaneal bone cysts. A total of 26 patients were evaluated into two equal groups: group 1 was treated with traditional open curettage and bone grafting and group 2 was treated with endoscopic curettage and percutaneous bone grafting. Cyst size, operating time, length of stay,...
متن کاملAneurysmal Bone Cyst: a Case Report
Aneurysmal bone cysts mostly occur in long bones and spine. It is relatively rare in the maxillofacial region. In this article, we present a 19-year- old woman with the complaint of swelling in the left mandibular premolar tooth. She had got antibiotic therapy after the diagnosis of dental cellulites. On the X-ray study, a well- defined unilocular bony lesion within the preapical premolar tooth...
متن کاملA Rare Case of Aneurysmal Bone Cyst in the Paranasal Sinus
Introduction: Aneurysmal Bone cysts (ABC) are extremely rare in the head and neck region and even rarer in sinuses. ABC is a benign multicystic mass that is locally-destructive and rapidly expandable. Hemorrhagic fluid content (like in this case) and septated appearance are the characteristic feature of ABC. Established treatment options for ABCs include sclerotherapy, embolization, radiothera...

The role of arthroscopic surgery for the treatment of various orthopedic pathologies has greatly improved during the last years. Recent publications showed that benign bone lesion may benefit from this minimally invasive surgical method, in order to minimize the invasiveness and the period of immobilization and to increase visualization. Unicameral bone cysts may be adequately treated by minima...
متن کاملRecurrent aneurysmal bone cyst of talus resulted in tibiotalocalcaneal arthrodesis
Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC), a locally benign aggressive lytic lesion of either primary or secondary origin, seldom involves the talus. Herein, we present a 25-year-old man with recurrent ABC of the talus after curettage and bone grafting, which was managed by total resection followed by filling the defect using fibular graft and finally tibiotalocalcaneal arthrodesis due to articular surface in...
